CMS and the CA Dept of Public Health has issued waivers allowing Long Term Care facilities to restrict visitation when located in Counties with confirmed COVID-19 cases.
Beginning March 13, 2020 at 4pm, Mission Hills Post Acute will
RESTRICT ALL VISITATION
to our facility to essential personal and end of life only. Family members, visitors, vendors and other non-essential staff will not be allowed entry. Please know our facility residents and employees DO NOT have any symptoms nor do we have any suspected or confirmed cases of COVID19. We want to remain as such.
We are also taking additional steps to ensure our essential employees are safe. We are taking their temperature and screening them everyday at the beginning of their shift. We have enhanced hand hygiene education, protocols and stations. We have also educated them on the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 for additional self-monitoring. The facility has added extra disinfecting programs to keep high touch areas sanitized.
I am also implementing alternative measures, such as Skype and FaceTime, to allow you to have added contact with your loved one.
This restriction will be in effect till March 31st. At which time I will reassess with help of our local Health Dept and Advisory boards to lift or continue this restriction.
We deeply appreciate you understanding and patience as we work through this critical time.
